Bath Experts, the exclusive Jacuzzi Bath Remodel dealer for Central Indiana & Central/Southwest Ohio, surprised local veteran Wayne Marcum with the gift of a brand-new bath system, free of charge. Nearly a dozen home improvement companies from across the country have joined together to create this one-day special event – Baths for the Brave – to help improve the lives of veterans who sacrificed so much for our country.
Read Wayne’s story and follow the installation process below.
Wayne Marcum grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and currently resides in Tipp City, Ohio. He served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1990. Wayne was stationed at Otis AFB in Massachusetts, Travis AFB in California, Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio, and Shemya AFB in Alaska. Mr. Marcum is currently retired.
He wore many different hats in his 20 years of service. In 1978 at Wright Patterson AFB he plowed snow for 32 straight days – 12 hours on, 12 hours off during the great blizzard. Mr. Marcum also ran a base theater as a part-time job for 8 years.
He very much enjoyed being a human test subject for the Air Force medical research lab. Wayne tested the equipment for pilots and rode the impact sled at 10 G’s for five years. Mr. Marcum rode the sled forward, sideways, and backwards twice a week. He also performed duties as team chief Air Force Honor Guard for 3 years.
Wayne and his spouse were thrilled to find out they’d be getting a shower remodel that will make it safe for them moving forward.
